+ Photos: Another grainy photo, Cha-am, Thailand

This is a grainy photo of my friend Yong and his girlfriend, Noi that I took in Cha-am, Thailand.

3 of us just drove here one afternoon from Hua hin, to enjoy the fresh and cheap seafood here. I also like the Cha-am beach better than Hua hin since it’s very clean and quiet.

  1. I like the beach at Cha Am too. Although depending on the time of year, you have to watch out for jellyfish.I read once that Cha Am means “saddle” in Thai and that it got it’s name when the King was traveling and stopped at a beach town to take a rest. His soldiers started to clean their saddles and rest their horses as the King took in the beautiful view of the ocean. Thus this previously unknown fishing village was “discovered” by royalty and given it’s name. šŸ™‚
