– Bangkok: Koi Restaurant and the F-Lounge

Some of you might have known or been to Koi Restaurants, either the L.A branch or the N.Y.C branch. If Koi branches in the States can impress people with their architectural style and the oriental decoration, then Koi in Bangkok also has its own attractions.
Opened in 2005, located in Sukhumvit 20 (nice area in Bangkok), well designed and decorated, but neither the architectural design nor decoration of Koi Bangkok alone can be good enough to attract me. What I like about this place is the combination of different styles. While the Italian Restaurant appears impressively as a glass house/pyramid in the front yard, the Japanese Restaurant stays back with its own reserve oriental atmosphere. Both the Italian food and Japanese sushi are really good in my opinion.
But aside from food, I do enjoy chilling at the lounge. This F-lounge turns the whole thing away from the concept of a restaurant. Here you can always find good cocktails and wine with good music. F-lounge gets even more attractive when it affiliates with FTV. We have parties with models a few nights a week at the lounge and sometimes this is the venue for many cool events to take place. I also like the people here. Every time I come, they already mix my personal favorite drink, a salty Mojito. 😀
